Colin Blaney Senior Vice President

Colin is a Senior Vice President at crankfrog, where he is responsible for structuring, mobilizing, and ensuring successful execution of all client facing engagements at crankfrog. In this role, he develops and maintains crankfrog’s service offerings to address the most critical industry issues, and works directly with client executives to ensure that each engagement results in an actionable solution.  Colin has led client engagements that include a product launch for an industry-wide provider data management solution, the creation of strategic roadmaps across multiple payer administrative functions, and has acted in various interim leadership positions for clients, including as CTO for a key line of business.

Prior to joining crankfrog in 2011, Colin was at WellPoint (now Anthem), where he established a Business Architecture team that was responsible for ensuring that the highest priority capabilities were supported across business and IT functions. Earlier in his career, Colin was a Principal at Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, where he helped healthcare clients define, plan and execute multi-year transformational initiatives.

Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Representative crankfrog work:

Managed the end-to-end delivery of an industry solution. Oversaw the RFP process, developed business requirements, developed the solution architecture, maintained the business case, defined a multi-point pricing strategy, and managed the product through launch.
Performed due diligence on a target healthcare technology product company to inform the firm’s decision to invest. Evaluated the technical and operational infrastructure, organizational structure and leadership styles impacting the success of the venture.
Developed the overarching product strategy for a national healthcare industry solution. Facilitated workgroups to confirm requirements, approve decision rules, and establish a plan for implementation.
